The first ever World Indigenous Music Festival held in Belize

 IndigeNOWbelize--World Indigenous Music Festival was launched on October 12th, 2012 at the Bliss Centre for the performing Arts in Belzie City!  This Festival  showcase Belize as the landmark destination for experiencing Indigenous cultures and their authentic and diverse music.

An influx of indigenous groups, artisans, and musical performers traveled to Belize from participating countries such as: Mexico, Hondurad, Peru and others, to this electrifying 2-day festival.  Attendees were treated to captivating performances and experienced a wealth of Indigenous music. 

The music festival  featured Indigenous artists at the highest level, including Peru’s Pasteles Verdes,  international disc jockey, Neva Wartell, Maya singers, Grupo Indigeno Maya, Instruments of Love featuring Emmauel Saqui, Florencio Mes on Harp, Pablo Collado on Flute, Alma Belicenia Marimba, a variety of other music groups including world renown local performers, the Garifuna Collectives.

IndigeNOWbelize--World Indigenous Music Festival was an initiative undertaken by Belize’s National Institute of Culture and History for the benefit of the Nation’s growing economy and tourism appeal, it was produced in association with Belize Tourism Board, RSV Media and Bronitsky and Associates.
The festival is schedule to take place again next year in Belize, making it an even more appealing destination for travelers seeking the best vacation experience of their lives!  IndigeNOWbelize--World Indigenous Music Festival - in Belize!
