This expansive cave system located along the Sibun River in the eastern part of the Cayo District allows visitors to meander along peaceful waters through remarkable geological formations.  With an extensive series of trails, guests can visit up to four stops along the massive cave system.

Description

Opening Hours:

Open every day, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including on Sundays and Public & Bank holidays

*Last Tour for the day: One and a half (1.5) hours before closing*

Visitors will not be allowed to enter the cave after 4:00 pm

For Visitor Safety:

  • All visitors to Barton Creek Cave must be accompanied by a Tour Guide
  • Maximum of 8 visitors allowed per Tour Guide
  • Minimum 40’’ height requirement for access to cave tour
  • Must be in good physical health
  • Must be able to swim
  • Must wear a life vest and helmet with light for access to cave tour
  • No jumping or running inside cave
  • No climbing or touching cave formations
  • No loud noise, shouting or music permitted inside cave or along trails
  • No trash should be left along trails or inside cave
