The Goldson House for Democracy and Patriotism was inaugurated in September 2015. Its purpose is to serve as a museum and learning center to highlight and examine the life and contributions of Belizean National Hero, Philip Stanley Wilberforce Goldson. It is located at the #82 Orange Street, Belmopan, which was the former residence of the National Hero and has been renovated to include a semi-permanent exhibit that feature topics such as The Life and Time of Philip S.W. Goldson and The Independence Movement.
The Goldson House is open from Monday to Friday. Opening hours are from nine o’clock in the morning to midday and from one o’clock to three o’clock in the afternoon. There is no entrance fee and guided tours are available. Schools and large groups are encouraged to schedule their visit prior to arrival by contacting us at (501) 822-2613.
