Following a 45-minute hike through lush jungle trails with several river crossings, visitors will find a crystal-clear stream flowing out of the cave opening.  This sacred cave features in situ remains of ceramics, stoneware and skeletons, vestiges of ancient Maya spiritual practices, underscoring their connection to the natural world.

Opening Hours:
Open every day, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including on Sundays and Public & Bank holidays

Last Tour for the day: 2:00 pm
Visitors will not be allowed to enter the cave after 3:00 pm

For Visitor Safety:

  • All visitors to ATM Cave must be accompanied by an ATM Certified Tour Guide
  • *All visitors are required to submit completed and signed liablility release forms prior to being permitted access to the ATM tour.*
  • Maximum of 6 visitors allowed per Tour Guide
  • Minimum 40’’ height requirement for access to cave tour
  • Must be in good physical health
  • Must be able to swim
  • Must wear a life vest and helmet with light for access to cave tour
  • Wear outdoor-appropriate longsleeve shirts & footwear for rugged terrain
  • No jumping or running inside cave
  • No climbing or touching cave formations
  • No loud noise, shouting or music permitted inside cave or along trails
  • No trash should be left along trails or inside cave
  • Use of cameras, video equipment, or recording devices are strictly prohibited inside the cave
