Mission: ISCR’s mission is to advance research, safeguard Belize’s intangible cultural heritage, and deepen the appreciation of our country’s rich history and culture. We are dedicated to historical, socioeconomic, cultural, and anthropological research, its dissemination, and the training of researchers. 

Legal mandate: National Institute of Culture and History Act, Chapter 331 of the subsidiary Laws of Belize 2000, Revised Edition 2020.
