Museum of Belizean Art

The Museum of Belizean Art (MOBA) is the first art museum in Belize, dedicated to showcasing the nation’s vibrant and evolving artistic identity. Located on Dr. Dame Minita Gordon Drive in Belize City, MOBA is housed in the former Government House, a colonial-era building thoughtfully repurposed into a contemporary space for art and reflection.

The museum’s debut exhibition features 68 outstanding works from Belize’s National Art Collection, selected to reflect the diversity and depth of Belizean creativity. Spanning decades and artistic movements, from abstract and modern to contemporary, each piece offers a lens into Belizean life, culture, and imagination.

MOBA is more than a gallery; it is a bold step forward in preserving, honoring, and celebrating Belizean art as a vital part of the national story.
