Meaning “Submerged Crocodile” in Maya, Lamanai has been continuously occupied and cared  for since the ancient Maya times. In this experience, you will learn from conservators, tour  guides and community members who uphold the site through conservation and cultural  practices. 


Quick Facts: Xunantunich is one of the oldest archaeological parks in the country. The largest pyramid,  known as “El Castillo”, stands 130 feet tall and provides a panoramic view of the surrounding  countryside. This site also contains the remains of remarkable stucco frieze on the east and west side of  structure A-6.
