The Office of the Belize Film Commissioner fosters economic growth by promoting Belize as a film and production location to the global screen industry, offering support so that productions can accomplish their work in Belize smoothly, and encouraging the professional development of local industry stakeholders by offering training and screening opportunities.
The mission of the Belize Film Commission is to boost the creative industry and “Orange Economy” to foster international cultural exchange by producing multidisciplinary programming that promotes creativity, storytelling, and collaboration. The BFC seeks to:
- Provide opportunities for learning and professional development through workshops and seminars for students and industry professionals.
- Provide a platform for emerging and established artists to present and share their work.
- Create opportunities for industry professionals to network and form international collaborations.
- Promote Belize as a cultural hub and global destination for creativity.
